In addition to performing, Conor has many years of experience as both a researcher in Irish traditional music and as a teacher in higher education. Conor was awarded a PhD from Queen’s University in 2013 for his thesis on the music of the Donegal fiddler, John Doherty, and has taught undergraduate classes in Irish music at Queen’s since 2011. In addition he has also presented his research across Ireland and Britain at conferences, and has published several articles and books.
